Hello and on behalf of the 2013 Marching Royal Dukes Trombone Section, welcome! Doesn't matter if you are a current member, alumnus, fellow MRD, or if you legitimately think mayonnaise is an instrument, we welcome you to the official website of the James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes Trombone Section. But thats a mouthful, so we're just going to call ourselves "the trombones".
This website serves many purposes: information for members, information for prospective members, information for fans, friends, and family, entertainment, and an insight into what it is like to be a part of the greatest section in the band (not that we're bias or anything).
Not sure what you're looking for? Head on over to the Blogs and you'll be sure to find something entertaining (we don't promise you'll find anything of use, but you will get a good laugh out of it).

With the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade now over a week in the past, I think it is only fair something show up on the site about it at SOME point. If you didn't already know, we were the lead band in the Macy's Parade this year, and I can say without a doubt that this is something that all 485 of us will never forget. It was an experience of a lifetime and no words exist to describe it.
After marching 3 miles in the parade looping 76 Trombones, Get It On, and the Fight Song, we made it to Herald Square for our performance on NBC. After we played, 'JMU' was even trending nationally on Twitter. It was quite a day.
If you missed it, refer to 2:13 in this video.
